Why are American Companies manufacturing their stuff in China and elsewhere in the Far East?  Obviously greed as usual.  Give the Chinese the means and motive to manufacture and sell back wholesale to the "Daddy" company, which in many cases is a respected American Trademarked name.  The Chinese are happy because the workers earn a living, and the owners make a living and the Government gets taxes and growth.  It's sounds all good for the Chinese workers, which is fine with me, but why not throw some crumbs to our close by neighbors??

Why not send emissaries to HAITI to talk to the government, the intelligentsia and the homegrown greedies* (maybe them first).  Set up trade schools, boost education in general by investing in new schools and food programs that will develop the children for future future success,  and teach the unemployed the skills needed to work in factories, assembly plants, shipping and related businesses.  Once the money works it's way around the economy, (not just the chief greedie*)  the 80% of the Haitian population that now lives below the poverty line will be productive and happy self supporting democratic citizens.

Our American Companies will be happy and richer because their manufacturing plants are near by, they can visit the happy sunny island frequently and make even a higher margin on their goods.
